Even Allergen Air Filters Cannot Remove Bacteria and Many Air Pollutants
High-Efficiency Whole House Air Cleaners
High-efficiency whole house air cleaners will keep your HVAC equipment and indoor air clean, lower utility bills, and reduce allergy symptoms.
Airborne particles: 98% of all airborne particles are too small for even the best disposable filter to collect. Replacing your air filter with a high efficiency air cleaner will protect your heating and cooling equipment while improving the quality of air in your home.
“Indoor air can be 2-5 times – and as much as 100 times – more polluted than outside air.” – Environmental Protection Agency
“50% of all illnesses are either caused by, or aggravated by, polluted indoor air.” – American College of Allergists
“l/8th of an inch of dirt and dust build-up on the blower wheel can reduce airflow by up to 30%.” -Texas A&M Study
“Accumulated debris can restrict the air flow in your air ducts, making your system work harder to heat and cool your home.
A build up of .042 (1/20) inches of dirt on the heating or cooling coil can result in a decrease in efficiency of 21% increasing your monthly utility and fuel bills.” – Environmental Protection Agency

Indoor Air Pollutants
Pollutants that can affect air quality in a home fall into the following categories: Particulate and Gaseous.
Particulate air pollutants include dust, smoke, pollen, animal dander, tobacco smoke, particles generated from combustion appliances such as cooking stoves. Gaseous pollutants come from combustion processes. Sources include gas cooking stoves, vehicle exhaust and tobacco smoke.
Particle Pollutants can be:
- dust
- dust mites feces
- skin flakes
- pet dander
- molds
- bacteria
- viruses
- hair – pet and human
Gaseous Pollutants come from:
Use of chemical products such as:
- building materials
- furnishings
- adhesives
- paints
- varnishes
- cleaning products
- pesticides
Importance of Indoor Air Quality – Winter and Summer
In the months Dallas residents spend most of their time indoors, indoor air quality is very important. As we spend much of our time indoors in winter and summer, the air we breathe in our homes, schools, and offices can put us at risk for health problems. See Indoor Air Quality FAQs.
With modern sealed building construction, the air inside homes is re-circulated. Homes are sealed tighter and more resistant to leaks from outdoor air. This is good overall – no one wants a house with multiple cold drafts!
As a result, today more people are concerned the air quality inside their home. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) studies show that levels of air pollution inside the home are often two to five times higher than outdoor levels. Poor indoor air quality is associated with various health problems; including eye irritation, headaches, allergies and respiratory problems such as asthma.
Indoor Air Pollution Affects Central Air System Performance
Dirt and mold growth inside your heating and cooling system can affect equipment performance and lead to increased utility bills, in addition to potential health concerns.
To prevent dust and mold buildup – get an annual A/C Tune Up and an annual Furnace Tune Up.
Indoor Air Pollution and Allergies
Other pollutants can cause or worsen allergies, respiratory illnesses (such as asthma), heart disease, cancer, and other serious long-term conditions. Individual pollutants can be toxic. At high concentrations, carbon monoxide can cause death.
Poorly designed and installed HVAC systems can lead to comfort and air quality problems.
Homes with properly designed HVAC systems have correct system sizing for the square footage, well-designed and sealed ductwork and HVAC installation with whole house air cleaners to remove indoor pollutants.
Did You Know? If the drain from your central air conditioning system was not installed correctly – or is clogged – water can accumulate and cause mold build-up. If not corrected, the water accumulation will also begin to flood the flooring in your home.
Pest Management and Indoor Air Quality
Residue from pests – such as rodents, dust mites, and cockroaches – can trigger allergy and asthma episodes. Wood-eating insects, such as termites, can quickly destroy a homeowner’s most valuable investment: your house!
Dallas Ductwork Repair and Sealing
Integrity Air Conditioning provides a first-line defense against ductwork problems by fully sealing, repaired and caulking ductwork. When needed – we replace aging and disintegrating ductwork.
To remain healthy, no one should breathe air with attic insulation particles from poorly sealed ductwork; or dust from disintegrating air ducts.
If your home is 10 years old – the ductwork needs to be inspected for breaks and cracks.
If your home is more than 10 years old – there will probably be breaks and cracks in the ductwork.
If your home is more than 20 years old – there will be breaks and cracks in the ductwork; as well as crumbling sections of ductwork.
Whole House Air Cleaners
SolaceAir Air Cleaners trap 97% of particles at .3 microns and continue trapping particles much smaller in size.
For reference, the eye of a needle is approximately 1,230 microns in diameter. Unlike passive mechanical filters where the size of small holes in the material determines the size of particles that can be captured, electronic polarized media employ the principal of agglomeration to join polarized sub-micron particles and VOC’s to each other as they pass through the central heating and cooling system. As the particles get larger during subsequent passes, they collect on the air cleaner’s disposable replacement media pads. In a short period of time, even the smallest particles — those we breathe — are removed from the air.
SolaceAir is a Proud Partner of the COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Foundation.
SolaceAir Whole House Polarized-Media Air Cleaners
SolaceAir Polarized-Media Air Cleaners remove even the smallest submicron particles that are otherwise absorbed into our lungs and bloodstreams to trigger asthma attacks and allergy symptoms.
We install the SolaceAir Whole House Polarized-Media Air Cleaners directly into the 1” filter rack(s) in your existing heating and cooling system. Its electronically enhanced media combines elements of both electronic and media air cleaners. Particles are electrically charged (polarized) and then collected in the high efficiency media. Polarized sub-micron particles join with other particles and are collected on subsequent passes.
This system does not created charged ionized particles that stick to walls and furniture and which cause lung irritation.
FAST INSTALLATION
No costly ductwork modifications required.
Connects directly to R and C terminals on most furnace control boards.
EFFICIENT

SolaceAir Germicidal UVC System with Polarized Media Air Cleaner
The SolaceAir Germicidal UVC Lamp Model SLA-401H is a whole house system that installs directly into the central heating and cooling system ductwork or plenum. The high intensity Dual-Radiant™ UVC “H” Lamp disinfects the air by neutralizing airborne pathogens such as bacteria, viruses and mold.
According to the EPA, the combined use of advanced filtration (SolaceAir Polarized-Media Air Cleaners) and germicidal UVC light is an effective means of preventing the distribution of airborne viruses in occupied spaces.
The best air quality solutions address the causes rather than symptoms, using a whole-house indoor air cleaning strategy.
